Myles Day is a South African jewellery artist celebrated for his refined design sensibility and cross-cultural perspective, shaped by a career spanning Africa and Europe.
His work fuses technical innovation with emotional resonance — a reflection of his belief that fine jewellery should capture the interpretive nuances of the heart, bring joy to life, and ignite the imagination.
Born in Johannesburg, he holds an Honours Degree in Industrial Design and a Master of Arts in Applied Arts and Design, specialising in luxury watches, jewellery, and accessories from the Richemont design school — Creative Academy in Milan, Italy.
Myles began his professional journey at the renowned French jewellery maison Van Cleef & Arpels in Paris, where he trained as a high jewellery designer. During his tenure, he contributed to bespoke commissions and permanent collections, deepening his understanding of craftsmanship, storytelling, and the poetry of materials.
Returning to Johannesburg — the City of Gold — he established himself as a design consultant, creating bespoke engagement and high jewellery pieces that celebrated the individuality of his private clients.
His path later led him back to Europe, this time to Copenhagen, where he became the first Senior Designer at Pandora, helping shape creative direction and product innovation for one of the world’s most recognised jewellery brands.
Today, Myles serves as a creative consultant to luxury houses, independent brands, and private clients, translating vision into refined design narratives, distinctive jewellery collections, and enduring beauty.
His work continues to explore the intersection of artistry, form, emotion, and desire.
